Publication and Open Access Policy
Indonesian Journal of Energy (IJE) adopts open access policy, providing immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The contents of IJE are freely available and can be accessed anytime. The contents can be used given proper attributions are given.

Peer Review Process
Indonesian Journal of Energy adopts double blind peer review whereby reviewers are unaware of Author(s) identity, and vice versa.
Article Processing Charges and Submission Fee
Indonesian Journal of Energy (IJE) does not charge any fee for authors to submit and publish their manuscript in IJE. IJE will never request for any form of payment as part of the submission process. Therefore, please be vigilant of fraudulent activity if you receive a communication or e-mail regarding IJE, supposedly from IJE. In addition, the IJE also provides free access (free download) for everyone.
Publishing Schedule
The publisher, PYC, will publish IJE twice a year in February and August.
Website Management
Publisher has responsibilities in maintaining the overall website, including updating the information, announcement, guidelines, and any other relevant activities.
Allegation of Misconduct
Publisher will retract temporarily if there are any allegations regarding misconduct from other parties. We will publish the journal if the issues have been solved. The publisher will work together with the Editorial Team to verify this matter, to ask for clarification from the Author(s) and to ask for appropriate revisions (if any).
Copyright and Access
The IJE provides free access (free download) for everyone.

By default, IJE publishes the final published article (Version of Record, “VoR”) under Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 (attribution required; non-commercial reuse; derivatives must use the same license). In addition, the copyright of the manuscript's contents after publication belongs to the author. - License to Publish
Authors grant IJE a License to Publish the VoR and to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, communicate, translate, index, preserve, and otherwise make the VoR available in all media and formats, worldwide, for the duration necessary to ensure permanent scholarly access. IJE may use trusted third-party services (e.g., DOI registration, indexing, preservation).
Publication can proceed only after the corresponding author has signed the License to Publish (LTP) Agreement (acting on behalf of all co-authors). Agreement template can be found here. - Author rights
Authors may: share with colleagues; use in teaching; present at conferences; include in theses/dissertations, books, encyclopedia entries, or monographs; create non-commercial derivatives with citation; retention of patent/trademark rights; self-archiving of preprints and accepted manuscripts (AAM) per policy. - Preprints & Self-Archiving
- Preprints: allowed anytime. Upon publication, add the VoR citation/DOI and a link to the VoR.
- AAM: may be deposited without embargo in personal, institutional, or non-commercial disciplinary repositories with VoR citation/DOI, link, and a note of the VoR’s license.
- VoR: Where an AAM license differs from the VoR’s license, the AAM license applies to the AAM only; the VoR remains governed by the license shown on the article.
- Text & Data Mining (TDM)
TDM of the VoR/AAM is permitted under the VoR/AAM license with attribution and VoR DOI links; derivative corpora containing expressive content must follow the applicable share-alike terms where relevant.
- Access: respect robots.txt/rate limits; do not circumvent access controls. Bulk access may be provided via IJE/PYC APIs or datasets on request.
- Intermediate copies: allowed for non-commercial research.
- Outputs: non-commercial sharing permitted; cite VoR DOIs and the applicable license.
- Suspension: IJE may suspend access for abuse; previously granted CC rights remain for lawful copies.
- Exceptions & Additional Permissions.
- Educational cost-recovery: non-profit accredited institutions may reproduce the VoR with attribution, VoR DOI, and CC BY-NC notice.
- Government/Institutional deposit: AAM/VoR deposit allowed where mandated, with VoR citation/DOI and correct license statement.
- Commercial reuse pathway: for uses outside CC BY-NC obtain written permission from IJE/PYC.
- Translations & adaptations: permitted under the VoR’s CC BY-NC 4.0; include the VoR DOI link; permitted adaptations are not duplicate journal publications.
- Third-Party Content
Some figures/tables may carry different licenses or require permission. Users must follow the credit lines and obtain any additional permissions.
